How to Multiply Mixed Fractions With Whole Numbers
· To multiply any mixed numbers and whole numbers, write the mixed numbers as a fraction. Write whole numbers over the denominator one. A mixed number is a whole number and a fraction expressed together.
Steps for Multiply mixed Fractions With Whole Numbers:
· Step 1: Reduced mixed fraction and whole number to improper fraction.
· Step 2: Multiply the numerators of the fractions.
· Step 3: Multiply the denominators.
· Step 4: Simplify the fraction if needed.
Multiply a Fraction and a Whole Number:
Multiply 4/5 and 3
Step 1: Change the whole number to a fraction.
The number 3 is the fraction 3/1.
Step 2: Multiply the two fractions.
4/5 x 3/1 = 4Ч3/5Ч1 = 12/5
